YBM -TESOL Certificate Program: Teacher Trainer Position



Start Date: Feb 1st, 2009



YBM Education Inc. is searching for two dynamic and qualified individuals to
serve as teacher-trainers for its newly developed TESOL certificate program.
Selected candidates will provide instruction for a 24 week program (offered
three days per week), designed to provide present elementary school teachers
with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with young learners of
English in South Korea.



Qualifications

1. M.A. in Elementary Education, Applied Linguistics, or TESOL; or B.A. in
one of the above fields + CELTA/DELTA/Trinity diploma

2. 2 yrs experience with young learners of English (elementary school age)

3. Outstanding communication skills in English

4. Excellent computer and research skills

** Candidates with the following experience and skills will be given
preference:

1. Experience with computer assisted language learning (CALL)

2. Experience with curriculum development

3. Experience with TESOL teacher education



Duties

1. Instructors are expected to prepare and deliver 15hours of interactive,
seminar-style classes per week in addition, five hours per week will be
allocated to lesson planning, as well as assignment/test design and grading
(80 hours total, per month)

2. Instructors are expected to establish regular office hours for student
counseling and assistance

3. Instructors are expected to design and implement formal assessment
procedures for each module taught, using pre-established curricula and
materials

4. Instructors are expected to make themselves available for materials
development (online and offline)



Benefits

1. 2,700,000 KRW per month, 39,000,000 KRW per year (with severance)

2. 10,000,000 KRW Key Money Deposit + 200,000 Monthly Housing Stipend

3. 10 days paid vacation + national holidays

4. 50% Health Insurance (costs split between instructor and company)

5. Pre-paid airfare
